We appreciate your communication with us. We have received your email concerning validating your Driving Licence for immigration purposes.
To proceed with your application, please ensure the accurate completion of the Application for Driving Licence Confirmation Form and attach all relevant documents outlined in the application form.
Kindly note: The Application for a Driving Licence Confirmation Letter is FREE to members of the public. We DO NOT charge Administration Fees either. The only cost to you is if you arrange a courier service to collect your Driving Licence Confirmation Letter on your behalf.
It is important to note: If you possess a Traffic Register Number (TRN) certificate, you must first obtain a verification letter from the Department of Home Affairs in South Africa before proceeding with your Driving Licence confirmation at RTMC.
To facilitate this process, kindly send copies of your passport, permit, or any other document utilized in obtaining the Traffic Register Number (TRN) Certificate. These documents should be emailed to the appropriate email addresses listed below:

The Department of Home Affairs will subsequently issue a Verification letter, which you must include along with the application form and all relevant documents as specified on the form.
Please note that we are currently experiencing a high volume of requests for Driving Licence Confirmation Letters. Our operating hours are from 08:00 am to 15:00 pm, Monday to Thursday. The processing time for RSA ID holders is approximately 3 - 4 weeks.
Be assured that we will promptly respond to your email and furnish you with the collection address for the Confirmation Letter once it is prepared.
